 — Isaac Mabe, Engineer / Quality Specialist | Introduced to P1 Manufacturing through a college professor, Isaac Mabe reached out for an internship, took a tour of the facility, and was immediately hooked. Over the past two years, he has established himself as an integral dual-role team member in both Product Development and Quality Control. Holding an engineering degree, Isaac bridges high-level technical application with rigorous quality oversight. From checking complex manufacturing prints to auditing multi-stage inspection documentation, his precise eye ensures every fastener strictly conforms to specifications. Among his top achievements at P1, Isaac played a key role in earning the company's AS9100 accreditation - an elite aerospace and defense quality certification held by only a select group of top-tier manufacturers. |
BEHIND THE SCIENCE & PRECISION
Q: What does your dual role in Engineering and Quality require day-to-day?
On the engineering side, I check manufacturing prints, which takes intense attention to detail and understanding of the application. On quality, I need that same detail focus along with a big-picture understanding of our entire quality system and inspection standard at every process step.
Q: What part of your job requires the most attention to detail?
Reviewing prints and quality documentation for sure. If these aren't adequately checked, parts could be made incorrectly or end up completely non-functional for their intended critical engine applications.
Q: What sets P1 Manufacturing apart from other manufacturers?
Being fully vertically integrated is a huge advantage - we don't rely on outside sources to make our parts. Beyond that, we have a state-of-the-art facility led by excellent management and an incredible culture where everyone genuinely gets along.
